Fresh and Fabulous – Emma Bridgewater Pottery

In an area renowned for producing some of the world’s best ceramics and chinaware, it takes a true visionary to launch a new range of high-class tableware. But that is just what Emma Bridgewater did.

Back in 1985, after being unable to find the right cup and saucer set for her Mum’s birthday, Emma decided to create her own eclectic designs for everyday kitchen china.

She soon discovered she was not alone in wanting a fresh, now look for tableware. Therefore, Emma Bridgewater Pottery was founded and her factory was built in Stoke-on-Trent, home to iconic companies such as Wedgewood, Spode and Moorcroft.

The bold move paid off. The Emma Bridgewater name is now well-known amongst collectors and enthusiasts of quality ceramics the world over.
